Te Reo Colours

Today's activity was all about learning our colours in Te Reo. We had to listen to the colour song and then go for a hunt around our whare to find colours.

Tuakana/Teina

Today we asked our friends to write a letter to their buddy from Ruma Tekau. We get to see the twice a week when we are school so we want to make sure we have a way of keeping that connection strong.

Layla has missed her friend Suri. She wrote her a letter to fill her in on what she has been doing. Miss Hutchings sent it to Suri and then she wrote a reply. What a cool way to get in touch with your friends.

Anzac Day

Look at these awesome poppies and wreaths our friends Izabella and Bella made to help commemorate ANZAC Day.

Skip Counting

We asked our friends to make groups using objects they could find around their home. We asked they make groups of 2's, 5's and 10's. We then wanted you to count the different groups by skip counting.

Floating and Sinking

Today we asked our friends to watch the 'Floating and Sinking' activity from Blippi. We then wanted you to look around your home to see what might float and sink. You were being scientists and made predictions about what might happen before you tested them. We heard from your whānau that you all really enjoyed this activity.

Some of our friends then went on to make their own boats and tested to see if those would float.

The Wonky Donkey

Mr Snell is here to share a story with you. This is one of his favourite books. Check it out.

Helping Out At Home

We are all part of our whānau and households. At school we contribute by helping tidy up at the end of our sessions and thought we should be doing the same at home.

We asked our friends to see how many jobs they could do at home in one day. Check out the jobs we did.
